Prado Farms, Pampanga

Me and 2 of my girl friends were itching for a get-away, to take a break from the usual work routine. Originally, we wanted to go up to Baguio with the pine trees and fresh strawberries. But due to time-constraints and unapproved vacation leaves, we were left with the option of overnight stay to a nearby place.

Perhaps it was for the best, because Prado Farms, which is located in Lubao Pampanga, is such a lovely and relaxing place, perfect for our get-away to de-stress and bond together! Had we gotten our way and went all the way to Baguio, we wouldn’t have enjoyed this charming resort just 2 hours away via bus from Cubao.

Prado Farms is an actual farm with a carabao, pigs, cows, vegetables, and rice crops. One can bike around, go for a morning run, and if you are like me, you would go for a morning yoga by the pool while facing the lush scenery. Had I brought my running shoes, I would have done 3 =)

It is easy to get lost in time and fall in love in this place.

I loved the peaceful setting and the feel of privacy. No noisy guests, no other team buildings, we were the only guests booked that weekend. Aside from an amazing yoga by the pool (self-practice), what I really enjoyed here is the healthy buffet lunch. With ingredients fresh from the farm, lots of veggie options, and everything home-cooked, I easily got full without the guilty feel. It was 450 php per head plus service charge. My favorite was the sauteed kang-kong dish (which tasted a little sweet and had a nutty crunchy taste to it), and their Sansrival dessert. yumm!

TIP: Prepare for the food rates here. If you book an overnight stay, it comes with free breakfast. However lunch and dinner is 450 php/head for each meal. That means 450 php lunch, another 450 php for dinner. They do not have an a la carte menu for those who do not want to opt-in for the lunch buffet.

How to stay here: Prado Farms need advance reservations/booking. They do not accept walk-ins. You may forward you inquiries/book via email or send an sms 09209030964/09988045395

How to commute to Prado Farms: Take a bus in either Victory Liner Cubao or Genesis Cubao with the sign Olongapo. It will costs you 151 Php. Tell the bus conductor to drop you off at Prado farms in Lubao, Prado Siongco in Pampanga. We took a bus on a Sunday morning with moderate traffic, and we arrived after 2 hours travel time and stop-overs.

Prado Farms is a Nature-lovers’ paradise, and very close to the city. I was so re-charged and peaceful from my stay here. I would have loved to stay another night.

Can’t wait to go back 🙂
