Best Western Plus Antel Hotel, Makati

Last Valentine’s Day me and my boyfriend enjoyed a staycation at the “Best Western Plus Antel Hotel” in Makati.
It is a 3-star hotel in a great location, just barely 2 mins walk to Century Mall, and just right accross a small grocery “SM savemore”.

Here are the room pics of the Deluxe Studio room with a Queen-sized bed. This is a room located in the Serenity wing, which you may request upon check-in.

Pictures below features the areas outside the bedroom.

The microwave, sofa bed, and the kettle to boil water for coffee was a great plus 🙂 You can store a few items inside the mini ref.

We collapsed/adjusted the sofa into a bed. We enjoyed watching tv here, even if there is another tv inside the bedroom 🙂 It was cozy and comfy…

And finally, the bedroom picture and the bathroom-

The room was clean, and the bed was comfy enough for a goodnight’s sleep, though the aircon was pretty hard to regulate, and it can be too cold or too warm. I stayed under the sheets the whole time and probably slept for 10 hours straight.

For the bathroom, it was the basic toilet, hair dryer, and shower, with complimentary toiletries.

What we liked about this hotel was the comfort and convenience, without breaking the budget.
There are 2 spas in this hotel, but for those who are on a budget, there are cheap spas nearby, though I wouldn’t recommend a full body massage in any of the spas outside (the hotel). Learn from us and just try a foot massage 🙂

For foodies on a budget, there are affordable delicious restaurants nearby, which include “Beni’s Falafel” (try the falafel, or the eggplant wrap) just outside A. venue Mall and, “Wasabi Warriors” (get the salmon sushi!) just outside Gramercy Condominium.- – -UPDATE – The sushi place wasabi warriors unfortunately closed down. But do not fret because there are lots of restaurants at Century mall a few steps away, and even lots of restaurants around Makati avenue. If you don’t feel like going out to eat, you can either do room service or order food from 🙂

I was craving for sushi when we checked-in so we had sushis to-go from Wasabi Warriors, and munched them like angry wolves inside our room, while watching tv.

We weren’t able to swim together since L did not bring his trunks and did not feel like swimming, but there are actually 3 adult swimming pools here, with the 2 being covered. There is also small kiddie pool.

Missed opportunity to exercise! 🙂
There were no adults swimming when I took these pics around 1pm on a Sunday. Next time we will definitely take a dip and swim laps!

For breakfast, you have an option to include breakfast buffet for 2 (additional fee) for your booked room, but we did not avail of that, thinking that we will just have breakfast out, maybe in Rufos, or somewhere in Century mall, but ended up skipping breakfast to have a heavy lunch at Shakeys in makati ave.

Will we go back? likely 🙂 especially if we get a good discount.
We booked via, and got our overnight stay for a total of 3,420 php as a special rate.

Over-all I would rate this hotel as 3 out of 5.
