Salcedo Saturday market

This weekend Saturday market in Makati has been going on for years (since 2005!), from 7 am to 2 pm.

To be honest I’m not a morning person, and I usually stay at home so going out of my way to buy grocery items here, didn’t really cross my mind before.

But ever since my work schedule required me to go to work on Saturdays and Sundays, I started finding creative ways to be motivated to go to work – one of them, exploring nearby bazaars, events and markets.

Probably about 12 minutes walking distance from the office, Salcedo Saturday market offers fresh produce such as fruits, vegetables, even seafood.

Also available, fresh flowers

There are probably around 50 stalls of merchants selling food, plants, bath and body products.

Buying yummy and healthy items, as well as pure/natural bath and body products is part of my simple joys in life 🙂

Here is a picture of some items bought this morning, before going to work.

Greens (arugula and lettuce), natural honey, banana blossom (puso ng saging), and lavender soap

What’s your simple joys? Do you have favorite products from weekend markets? Drop a comment below 🙂

Happy weekend!
